Welcome to the "Glockenralm" mountain restaurant

Tradition is not about holding the ashes, but about passing on the flame! That's why we are continuing the newly created "Glockneralm" with the alpine hut character of the old hunting lodge of our Emperor Franz and our Empress Sissi. The new house now brings a new wind to the Schmittenhöhe!

The Glockneralm is located directly at the entrance to the “Drachenpark” children’s slope. Nestled in the impressive mountains with a direct view of the Großglockner, the Glockneralm not only offers culinary delights, but also an incredible panorama. Is there anything more beautiful?

Here in the Glockneralm mountain restaurant you can expect tasty and regional dishes, prepared from local products.

Living in the Glockneralm

For mountain enthusiasts, we offer high-quality overnight accommodation in summer and winter under the motto “Happy Sleeping”. Curious? Then get the information under “Happy Sleeping”!

In the Glockneralm, newly built in October 2023, there are single rooms where two people share a bathroom, single rooms with their own bathroom, double rooms with their own bathroom and family rooms for 3 or 4 people with a bathroom.

Overnight stay in a budget room including half board (breakfast buffet and dinner) in summer from just €75.00!

Enjoying in our cozy rooms and on our sun terrace with traditional musical accompaniment is a highlight for the guests in our hut.
